We closed submissions for presenters to our #MikroTik Professionals Conference just before the holidays and have now concluded our final choices. We are notifying the presenters and will make it public on the website early next week. The “early bird” reduced pricing for the ticket prices will also be ending very soon. So if you haven’t already bought a ticket I’d suggest you do so soon! https://mtpc.world
I'm having a look at the new "Apps" feature of #MikroTik.
I think this can help people to self-host stuff, to own their data.

Well done, @mikrotik !

Fun stuff.

Have updated the internet setup at our static home. Someone has been taking my wifi advice and turned off a few 2.4GHz radios on their new Unifi install at the clubhouse 500m away. Have swung the #MikroTik LHG52 round a bit and found a 5GHz SSID I can connect to very well. Have also added an old LHG-LTE as a quick test backup. If tests for a couple of days show it works ok, I’ll order an ATL and sort out the CAT5 mess. Both LHGs are powered by a PowerBox with recursive routing for failover. 👌

Playground setup with Raspberry Pi 5 and Mikrotik hEX router.
The Pi, with a M.2 HAT+ Compact, is running Raspberry Pi OS Desktop.
The hEX is running RouterOS 7.20.6, without a default configuration. Right now it's acting more like a switch.
I'm using Raspberry Pi Connect to access the Pi from outside my home network, and mostly ssh and WinBox to access the devices when inside, but Connect also works here.

@lexinova @mikrotik DDNS service from #mikrotik works fine and is dead simple.
/ip/cloud/set ddns-enabled=yes
And do not forget to set the wg-client settings on the „server“ side as responder.
latest ROS (7.21rc3) lets you finally define the allowed IP parameter for the client in the responders settings to generate a complete client configuration for c&p / QRCODE

I will be delivering a #Mikrotik MTCNA at #LinITX’s HQ at Needham Market in Suffolk. The location has multiple cheap hotels nearby and is served by fast trains from Ipswich and London but even if you’re not in the UK, London Stansted Airport is also not that far away. Join me for three days of intense RouterOS learning. Theory and loads of labs. What’s not to enjoy? Oh, did I not mention the exam? If you pass you’ll even get a free certificate. 😀 https://linitx.com/product/Ron/18210
Google’s brain fart when I asked about reproducing a stock #MikroTik configuration in FreeBSD.
I built a local YacY search install a month or two back. Don’t understand 90% of the backend settings but I’m sure I’ll figure that out with time. Have told it to crawl only trusted #MikroTik resources every few days. Boy is it fast at generating me results. Zero adverts. Zero unknown algorithms pushing one site above another. I love it. Use it every day now over of any other search engine when researching anything MikroTik related. Have also now added some Ham Radio sites to crawl too
MTCRE 1.4 Understanding Scope and Target Scope
https://zpr.io/y7YZ2cUyA9XC
Learn why recursive static routes in #mikrotik fail when resolver routes are inactive and how scope/target-scope control route visibility. This #mtcre lab explains how next-hop resolution works and why adjusting target-scope restores full connectivity.
